Ford Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle Facts
For many people, purchasing a "certified pre-owned" vehicle has become a more affordable option to buying a new car. By definition, a certified used or certified pre-owned vehicle is a car, truck or SUV that have gone through a detailed inspection and carry warranties that extend beyond those of the vehicle when it was purchased as new. In other words, you get the benefit of warranties coverage, and eliminate the expense and depreciation associated with buying a brand new vehicle.
To be considered "certified” each vehicle must meet the strict Ford CPO program requirements. If the vehicle doesn’t meet the exact program criteria, then it won’t be certified.
To become Ford Certified each pre-owned vehicle must meet the following requirements:
- Be less than 6 years old and have fewer than 80,000 miles on the odometer.
- Complete and pass the 172-point vehicle inspection.
- Come with a satisfactory Vehicle History Report.
- Have a clean title.

North Brothers Ford Certified Pre-Owned Cars, Trucks, SUVs, and Crossovers
When you choose a Certified Pre-Owned Ford you know that quality is what you will get. As part of the 172-point inspection process, each Ford CPO vehicle comes with a detailed vehicle history report, which is used to identify any vehicle that doesn’t measure up to the tough CPO standards.
Every Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicle comes with a 12 month/12,000 mile-comprehensive limited warranty as well as a 7-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty. Should your Ford CPO vehicle get a flat, run out of gas, or have another issue you are covered with roadside assistance, which is offered for the full duration of the limited warranty.
